Swedish store IKEA has collaborated with renowned fragrance brand Byredo to launch a limited edition budget-friendly candle collection.
If the name Ben Gorham doesn’t ring a bell, you’d definitely know of his extremely luxurious (and expensive, if we may say so) Byredo fragrances.
But now you no longer have to pay upwards of $300 to enjoy your very own Byredo scent.

Called OSYNLIG, the limited-edition collection features 13 affordable scents divided into three bases – floral, woody and fresh – to help create a “powerful effect on people’s moods and emotions” within homes, a brand press releases states.
For Gorham, smell is one of the most crucial elements to the “invisible design” of a home.
“Smell is a very relevant part of the home, and it creates a sense of comfort and security. We’re trying to develop a ton of smells enforcing the idea that everyone has a different relationship to it, and nothing is right or wrong.”
Creative leader at IKEA for OSYNLIG, James Futcher says fragrance has the power to tie a home’s elements together.
“Invisible design is that layer on top of functionality that completes the home, the intangible things like lighting, mood, and atmosphere that enable you to have a really emotive, interesting environment,” says Futcher.
Prices range from $9.99 to $49 depending on three different candle sizes and the collection officially launches in Australia on February 1, 2021, so don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to save money for it – not that you need to.
